THERMIsmooth Body ContouringThe ThermiGen device is an FDA approved device that provides a minimally-invasive solution using radiofrequency (RF) energy for fat reduction anywhere on the body. THERMIsmooth is the first aesthetic therapy with temperature control. The tiny radio-frequency probe delivers the prescribed dose of safe RF energy through the non-insulated tip of the probe to heat the targeted fat cells. This very accurate method to selectively target the fat pockets results in controlled lipolysis. Over time, the treated fat cells are drained via the lymphatic system and then excreted as urine. The prescribed temperature is set by the clinician to ensure a comfortable yet effective treatment for each patient.
Can I have other treatments with Body Contouring?Yes, THERMIsmooth can be used to tighten the skin of the face, neck, chest and arms. How many treatments will I need?
Depending on your skin’s laxity, the area to be treated and the results you desire, multiple treatments may be required. During your consultation, your doctor will advise you as to the number and frequency of treatments that may be required to achieve your desired results. Keep in mind that the results from THERMIsmooth are gradual and may take from three to six months to maximize the effects of the treatment.
What can I expect?All patients see results over a one to three month period as the skin tightens and more new collagen is formed. Depending on the area treated, the skin laxity and your desired results, more than one treatment may be required.
Fat deposits will diminish over time as the treated fat cells are flushed through your body’s lymphatic system. The full effects may not be visible for several months as the improvements are gradual.
